The programme is designed to empower young Nigerians with future-ready technical competencies that will enable them to thrive in the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

NIGCOMSAT Limited,  in partnership with the Enugu State Government, has launched an intensive hands-on training programme in Enugu aimed at equipping young people with practical skills in Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) installation. More than 100 youths are currently participating in the initiative, which is taking place in the state capital, Enugu — popularly known as the Coal City.

The programme is designed to empower young Nigerians with future-ready technical competencies that will enable them to thrive in the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy. By focusing on VSAT installation, the training provides participants with critical knowledge for satellite-based communication systems, a foundational component of modern connectivity.

NIGCOMSAT noted that the initiative reinforces its commitment to driving digital innovation, promoting inclusive technology adoption, and expanding opportunities for youth across the South-East region. Through this collaboration with the Enugu State Government, the organisation aims to build a stronger talent pipeline and support Nigeria’s transition into a more connected and digitally skilled society.
