The initiative forms part of Algeria’s broader push to digitize public services and strengthen the country’s digital governance framework.

The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Al-Saeed Saioud, has officially launched a new digital platform that allows citizens to remotely declare lost documents. The service, developed by the General Directorate of National Security, aligns with presidential directives aimed at accelerating digital transformation, simplifying administrative procedures and modernizing public services.

The announcement was made during the National Orientation Meeting, held for central, regional and state-level national security officials. Authorities emphasized that the new system will enhance efficiency, reduce bureaucratic delays, and provide citizens with a faster and more accessible way to manage administrative incidents such as lost identification or official documents.

The initiative forms part of Algeria’s broader push to digitize public services and strengthen the country’s digital governance framework.
