The name KIMBA, which means “move, go, move… innovate” in the Nzebi language, reflects the platform’s mission to energize Gabon’s digital ecosystem and accelerate innovation-driven growth across the country.

The Ministry of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation,  in collaboration with the Federation of Companies in Gabon, has launched KIMBA, a strategic platform aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation and strengthening the national innovation ecosystem. The launch event, chaired by the Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation, took place on Friday, November 28, 2025, marking a significant step toward modernizing Gabon’s economic landscape and supporting business innovation.

KIMBA is designed to connect two critical players in the economy: large companies, which can now articulate their digitalisation needs, and Gabonese start-ups, which are provided with a dedicated space to propose technological solutions and innovative products. Through an intelligent interconnection between these two groups, the platform aims to create direct links between needs and solutions, foster concrete partnerships, showcase local innovations, improve the competitiveness of companies, and strengthen the national digital ecosystem.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting innovation, guiding companies through their digital transition, and creating an environment conducive to the emergence of Gabonese solutions.
