M-PESA Ethiopia  has launched M-PESA ለሁሉም (M-PESA LeHulum), a telco-agnostic mobile money platform designed to provide digital financial services to all Ethiopians, regardless of the SIM card they use. The platform removes longstanding network barriers, enabling anyone to participate in the digital economy through a simple, secure, and inclusive onboarding process.

Users can access M-PESA LeHulum by downloading the app, registering with any phone number, and completing verification through the Fayda Digital ID, allowing them to start transacting within minutes. The platform supports a wide range of services, including sending and receiving money, paying merchants and bills, purchasing airtime, QR payments, and accessing the Errif Be M-PESA overdraft. It also enables seamless transfers with banks and other wallets via ETHSwitch integration.

The platform was fully developed in-house by M-PESA Ethiopia’s technology teams, highlighting local engineering expertise and the company’s commitment to building digital solutions that meet the needs of Ethiopians while adhering to international standards. This launch represents a major step forward in creating a more inclusive and connected financial ecosystem across the country.
