The partnership aims to address structural barriers in Africa’s creative and cultural industries by improving distribution, pricing models, and payment infrastructure.

Gara has entered a strategic Africa-wide distribution partnership with Média-Participations,  a major European group specializing in comics and family entertainment, which includes prominent publishing houses such as Dupuis and Dargaud.

The partnership aims to address structural barriers in Africa’s creative and cultural industries by improving distribution, pricing models, and payment infrastructure. It seeks to expand access to high-quality international content across the continent while supporting the long-term development of Africa’s creative ecosystem.

This collaboration highlights Africa’s potential as a growth market for cultural and creative industries, driven by strong demographic trends, increasing digital adoption, and rising demand for diverse content. By combining resources and expertise, Gara and Média-Participations plan to enhance market-ready infrastructure and strengthen connections between African audiences, creators, and global partners.

The agreement represents a significant milestone for Gara’s mission to build sustainable creative content distribution networks across Africa and to enable broader access to international catalogs in collaboration with local stakeholders.
