Bayobab Kenya and Regional Operations to Be Led by Sajid Ahmad Khan from January 2026

MTN Digital Infrastructure, commercially trading as Bayobab, announced the appointment of Sajid Ahmad Khan as Regional Managing Director for South and East Africa, effective 5 January 2026. In this role, Sajid will oversee Bayobab’s operations across the region, while directly leading the Bayobab Kenya business.
With a mandate to translate Bayobab’s pan‑African connectivity vision into regional impact, Sajid will be responsible for driving commercial performance, accelerating network monetisation, and strengthening customer value delivery through strategic leadership and cross‑border collaboration.
Sajid brings over 26 years of global leadership experience spanning Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to transform traditional operating models into agile, digitally enabled, high‑performing businesses.
Most recently, Sajid served as Group Managing Director – Digital Services at SEACOM, where he led multiple Leadership roles across the SEACOM Group footprint. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Expresso Telecom, Etisalat, du, and the Aditya Birla Group.
