KFH–Bahrain Launches eKey 2.0 for Business to Boost Digital Security

The platform enables businesses to onboard and access digital banking services quickly and seamlessly, while reducing fraud risks, enhancing data integrity, and improving overall operational efficiency.

Bahrain (KFH–Bahrain)  has announced the launch of eKey 2.0 for Business (EKEY-B) in collaboration with Beyon Connect,  reinforcing the bank’s digital transformation strategy and providing customers with a more secure and efficient electronic identity solution. The platform enables businesses to onboard and access digital banking services quickly and seamlessly, while reducing fraud risks, enhancing data integrity, and improving overall operational efficiency.

The collaboration with Beyon Connect exemplifies how the banking sector can integrate with specialized technology providers to support Bahrain’s broader digital infrastructure.”

Mr. Samih Abutaleb, Deputy Group CEO – Technology & Operations, noted that the adoption of EKEY-B strengthens the bank’s digital infrastructure, enhances operational processes for customer identification, and aligns with the highest standards of cybersecurity and data governance. Meanwhile, Christopher Hild, CEO of Beyon Connect, highlighted the importance of enabling secure and seamless identity verification for customers, underscoring the shared goal of building trusted, future-ready digital solutions.

The initiative has also received support from Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al Mutawa, Deputy Chief Executive of Operations and Governance at Bahrain’s iGA, who praised KFH–Bahrain’s adoption of EKEY-B as a step that aligns with the Kingdom’s vision for customer-centric, secure digital services. The integration of EKEY-B with KFH–Bahrain’s technology systems marks a pivotal milestone in the bank’s digital development journey, enhancing the speed, efficiency, and security of electronic transactions for its customers.
