Announcing the development, the company said the newly activated tower will enable residents to access a range of digital services, including voice calls, mobile money services, high-speed internet, and other financial services.

Airtel Tanzania  has expanded its network coverage in the country’s Northern Zone with the activation of a new telecommunications tower in Simanjiro District, aimed at improving connectivity in Lebosoiti and surrounding villages.

Announcing the development, the company said the newly activated tower will enable residents to access a range of digital services, including voice calls, mobile money services, high-speed internet, and other financial services. The expansion forms part of Airtel Tanzania’s broader commitment to ensuring nationwide access to reliable digital connectivity.

Airtel Tanzania emphasized that its mission is to ensure that every Tanzanian can benefit from its network and participate fully in the digital economy. By extending coverage to underserved and rural communities, the company aims to promote digital inclusion and improve access to communication and financial services.

The Simanjiro deployment is part of Airtel Tanzania’s ongoing efforts to light up new areas across the country, supporting social and economic development through enhanced connectivity.

The initiative aligns with national and regional goals to bridge the digital divide by bringing reliable telecommunications infrastructure closer to communities that have traditionally faced limited access to digital services.
