The towns of Miaba, about 20 kilometres from Oyo, and Ehota in the Tchikapika District have officially been connected to the national telecommunications grid, reducing the digital divide in the region.

The Fund for Access and Universal Electronic Communications Service (FASUCE)  has marked a significant milestone in its mission to promote digital inclusion in Congo. The towns of Miaba, about 20 kilometres from Oyo, and Ehota in the Tchikapika District have officially been connected to the national telecommunications grid, reducing the digital divide in the region.

The inauguration ceremonies were attended by key officials, including Léon Juste IBOMBO, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy; Luc Missidimbazi, Chairman of the FASUCE Fund Committee; Yves Ickonga, Advisor to the President on ICT and Vice President of the Fund Committee; and Louis-Marc Sakala, Director General of ARPCE. Local departmental authorities were also present.

While both sites aim to enhance digital access, Ehota stands out for its advanced technical infrastructure, comparable to facilities in major urban areas.
