Notion Enhances AI Collaboration Tools with New Arabic Interface

January 28, 2026

Author: Joyce Onyeagoro

The move is aimed at making it easier for teams, founders and creators in Arabic-speaking countries to collaborate, build and manage work in their preferred language, while using Notion’s flexible, AI-driven tools.

Notion  has introduced complete Arabic language functionality across its platform, representing its first significant product-focused expansion into the Middle East. Beginning January 26, 2026, the AI-enabled workspace will be accessible in Arabic on both web and mobile applications, a move driven by sustained demand from a fast-growing community of users in the region.

The localisation extends across Notion’s main features, including desktop and mobile apps, the homepage and major sections of its website. The update is designed to help teams, entrepreneurs and creators in Arabic-speaking markets work, collaborate and organise projects more naturally in their native language, while continuing to use Notion’s adaptable, AI-powered tools.

The Middle East has emerged as one of Notion’s most active markets, fuelled by a dynamic startup landscape and rapid digital adoption. The company reports millions of users in the region, with the UAE accounting for hundreds of thousands. Organisations such as Emirates Foundation and Emirates Investment Bank are among its customers, and more than 1,000 startups in the UAE have joined Notion’s Startups Program.

Notion’s move into Arabic builds on years of grassroots growth, as professionals and creators adopted the platform organically. To coincide with the rollout, the company held a “Make with Notion” showcase in Dubai, gathering founders, creators and community members. The event signalled Notion’s intention to strengthen its physical presence and deepen engagement with its regional audience, rather than limiting its efforts to a software update.

Adding Arabic also reflects how many professionals in the Middle East operate across multiple languages and markets. By integrating the language directly into the platform, Notion aims to streamline collaboration and create a more intuitive working environment for Arabic-speaking users.

Users can enable Arabic by selecting it in the language settings within the Notion app or through the website’s language menu. Following this addition, Notion’s platform now supports 21 languages worldwide.
