Infovista Launches VistAI Agentic AI Framework to Enable Autonomous Network Operations

February 2, 2026
3 min read

The new platform enables operators to act on network data insights in real time, addressing the growing operational complexity created by next-generation technologies such as 5G, fibre expansion, Open RAN, network slicing, and edge computing.

Infovista,  a global network intelligence provider, has launched VistAI™, an agentic AI framework designed to help telecommunications operators move beyond network monitoring toward autonomous decision-making. The new platform enables operators to act on network data insights in real time, addressing the growing operational complexity created by next-generation technologies such as 5G, fibre expansion, Open RAN, network slicing, and edge computing.

As telecom networks evolve, the volume and diversity of data have outpaced the capacity of operations teams and traditional management tools. Infovista says this data overload has created a need for AI systems capable not just of analysis, but of taking action. VistAI introduces an intent-based architecture, allowing operators to define desired outcomes — such as maintaining quality of service — while AI agents determine and execute the necessary steps within set guardrails.

According to Rick Hamilton, CEO of Infovista, existing AI solutions often force trade-offs between flexibility, customization, and cross-domain visibility. He said VistAI closes the gap between identifying a network issue and resolving it, embedding three decades of network performance expertise into intelligent agents that can observe, decide, and execute actions autonomously. The aim is to turn network complexity into a competitive advantage rather than an operational burden.

Industry research highlights growing momentum behind agentic AI in telecom. Deloitte estimates the market opportunity could reach $150 billion, while McKinsey research indicates many repetitive network operations tasks are well suited to automation.

VistAI combines AI-driven automation with deep telecom domain knowledge drawn from Infovista’s experience across more than 1,000 customer deployments. Its capabilities include agentic architecture with configurable autonomy levels, multi-domain correlation across RAN, Core, and Transport layers, and intent-based automation that focuses on business outcomes rather than manual processes.

A key component of the framework is VistAI ASK, a natural language interface that enables engineers and business users to query network data conversationally. The tool unifies access to data from Infovista’s assurance and testing systems as well as third-party platforms, delivering correlated insights without the need to switch between tools. Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), VistAI agents can also coordinate with third-party AI agents to manage complex, multi-step workflows.

Muhannad AlAbweh, Chief Product Officer at Infovista, said the effectiveness of agentic AI depends on domain expertise. He noted that VistAI natively understands areas such as RF propagation, protocol stacks, transport layers, and subscriber experience patterns, enabling it to resolve issues that span multiple network domains.

VistAI ASK is available immediately within Infovista’s Automated Assurance and Network Testing product lines. Cloud-hosted deployment is supported across both, while on-premises deployment is available for Automated Assurance. Infovista plans to showcase VistAI and introduce additional capabilities at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona.
