The collaboration addresses the evolving needs of Jordan’s financial ecosystem with a strong focus on connecting underserved segments to secure and efficient financial services.

UWallet  and Mastercard  are introducing a suite of innovative solutions designed to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), travelers, and e-commerce shoppers in Jordan. Additionally, UWallet will also launch the Mastercard World Prepaid Card, bringing a premium proposition to its customers through elevated travel and lifestyle benefits.

UWallet continues to lead the advancement of digital financial inclusion in the Kingdom. The collaboration addresses the evolving needs of Jordan’s financial ecosystem with a strong focus on connecting underserved segments to secure and efficient financial services. By combining Mastercard’s global technology with UWallet’s local market expertise, the initiative seeks to drive lasting impact across both consumer and business markets.

A cornerstone of this collaboration is the launch of SME-focused solutions designed to support business growth, streamline operations, and improve access to financial services for micro and small enterprises. Alongside digital onboarding, virtual cards, and financial management tools, SMEs will also benefit from the premium features of the World Prepaid Card. The features will include unlimited lounge access, exclusive global offers, and comprehensive insurance on purchases, travel, and online transactions.

To cater to the growing demand from travelers and online shoppers, UWallet will also roll out Mastercard’s multi-currency prepaid cards, offering a seamless digital experience, enhanced security, and flexible payment options across borders. Whether shopping online or traveling abroad, users will benefit from real-time currency conversion, contactless payments, and integration with global e-commerce platforms.

UWallet will expand its digital payment ecosystem by incorporating Mastercard’s digital-first capabilities. This will allow users to transact via mobile wallets, wearable devices, and contactless cards, enhancing both convenience and security. The integration supports Jordan’s broader digital transformation goals and aligns with the global shift toward cashless payments.

“The introduction of this suite of innovative financial solutions reflects our commitment to driving economic growth and unlocking value for millions of consumers and SMEs. By enabling seamless, cost-effective, and secure payments, we are helping build a more inclusive financial ecosystem in Jordan and the wider region.”

Saud Swar, Country Manager for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, and other Levant, Mastercard

“This collaboration with Mastercard marks a defining moment on our journey toward a fully digital and financially inclusive Jordan. Together, we are not just expanding access to modern financial tools; we are empowering individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to participate more confidently in the digital economy. This way, we’re shaping a future where secure, fast, and accessible financial services are within everyone’s reach.”

Dr. Ala’a Ensheiwat, CEO, UWallet

This initiative builds on earlier collaboration between Mastercard and UWallet that led to the launch of the region’s first digital-first card and the Gold prepaid card. These products set a new benchmark for innovation in Jordan’s fintech landscape and demonstrated the potential of strategic alliances in driving financial inclusion.
