The partnership is focused on deploying advanced connectivity solutions across multiple sectors, including enterprise networks, data centres, international transit connectivity, and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services.

Nokia  and T964  have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the modernization of Iraq’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure. The agreement was announced during the Capacity Middle East conference, held in Dubai from February 9 to 12, 2026.

The partnership is focused on deploying advanced connectivity solutions across multiple sectors, including enterprise networks, data centres, international transit connectivity, and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening Iraq’s core digital infrastructure and supporting the country’s growing demand for high-capacity, reliable connectivity.

By combining Nokia’s global expertise in network technologies with T964’s strong local operational presence, the collaboration seeks to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient digital systems. The companies said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to building foundational infrastructure capable of supporting Iraq’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

Demand for digital services in Iraq continues to rise across both public and private sectors, driven by the growth of digital banking, e-government services, cloud adoption, and enterprise digitalisation. Against this backdrop, the partnership is designed to address existing infrastructure gaps and enable sustainable digital growth nationwide.

Commenting on the agreement, Osama Qadan, chief commercial officer at T964, said the collaboration aligns global technology expertise with local infrastructure capabilities to build systems designed to scale and support Iraq’s evolving digital economy. Mohamed Faisal, head of Middle East-West, network infrastructure at Nokia, said the company’s advanced connectivity solutions would provide the technological backbone needed to support T964’s vision of a more connected and digitally empowered future.
