Airtel Uganda Declares UGX 142bn Final Dividend for FY 2025

Airtel Uganda further advised shareholders to ensure that their payment details and contact information are up to date to facilitate timely dividend payments and effective shareholder communication.

Airtel Uganda  has issued a public announcement notifying shareholders of the closure of its books and the declaration of a final dividend for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, in line with Rule 41 of the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) Listing Rules, 2025.

According to the notice, the Board of Directors of Airtel Uganda Limited, at a meeting held on 20 February 2026, recommended a final dividend of UGX 142 billion, translating to UGX 3.55 per share, subject to shareholder approval. The dividend relates to the company’s financial performance for the year ended 31 December 2025.

The company stated that the dividend will be payable on or before 29 April 2026, net of withholding tax, to shareholders whose names appear in the company’s share register at the close of business on 8 April 2026. This date will also serve as the book closure date for purposes of determining dividend entitlement under the USE Listing Rules.

The announcement was issued by Godfrey Bakibinga, Company Secretary, and dated 23 February 2026. Airtel Uganda noted that it is a subsidiary of Airtel Africa and is regulated by the Uganda Communications Commission.
