By improving connectivity in Katete District, the project is expected to enhance access to voice and data services, supporting social inclusion and local economic activity.

MTN Zambia  has announced the launch of the Katiula Tower in Katete District, delivered in partnership with the Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA).  The launch took place yesterday and was officiated by the Felix Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science.

The new tower forms part of MTN Zambia’s ongoing efforts to expand network coverage and strengthen digital infrastructure in underserved and rural communities. By improving connectivity in Katete District, the project is expected to enhance access to voice and data services, supporting social inclusion and local economic activity.

MTN Zambia said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that more Zambians can participate in a modern, connected digital society. The company reaffirmed its focus on rolling out infrastructure that enables communities to benefit from reliable connectivity and the opportunities it creates.
