National Police of Senegal Teams Up with Meta for Cybercrime Training
This collaboration is set to be furthered through upcoming technical training sessions on the Meta portal, enhancing the National Police’s operational capabilities and reinforcing public safety across Senegal.
The Comptroller-General of Police, Abdoul Wahabou Sall, Deputy Director-General of the National Police (DGA), received a delegation from Meta, led by the Manager of Law Enforcement Relations and Public Policy for Francophone Africa.
The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation, including strengthening collaboration on public safety, with a particular emphasis on the protection of young people and minors, and presenting Meta devices and programs designed to support law enforcement operations.
Meta representatives reaffirmed their commitment to support the National Police through capacity-building initiatives. Following the discussions, the DGA instructed the Meta focal point at the National Police, the Chief of the Special Cybercrime Division (DSC), to continue partnership efforts in coordination with other police departments and services.
