Gabon Launches Smart Africa Digital Academy to Boost Digital Skills and Innovation
The initiative is designed to equip citizens and public officials with essential digital skills through targeted capacity-building programs, e-learning platforms, and strategic partnerships with donors and service providers.
Smart Africa and Gabon’s Ministry of Digital Economy, Digitalization, and Innovation have signed a five-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) to accelerate digital skills development and drive innovation in emerging technologies across the country.
The agreement, signed during MWC Barcelona 2026, establishes the Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA) in Gabon. The academy will be hosted by the Gabon Innovation Centre (CGI), which will serve as the national implementation entity.
