Türk Telekom  has signed a strategic research collaboration with Ericsson  to advance telecommunications innovation in Türkiye. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with the participation of İsmail İlhan Hatipoğlu Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance, Ömer Fatih Sayan Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Andrea Missori, Head of South Europe and Eurasia at Ericsson, reinforcing a previous collaboration announced last year. This partnership will focus on shaping emerging 6G standards, enhancing network reliability, and setting benchmarks for next-generation connectivity, driving the evolution of global communication networks.

The collaboration encompasses national and international R&D projects, bilateral research initiatives, and scientific publications focusing on transformative 6G technologies. Moving beyond knowledge exchange, Türk Telekom and Ericsson aim to enhance their strategic collaboration to actively contribute to the definition of global 6G standards. This commitment ensures that their joint research efforts are instrumental in shaping the next generation of connectivity. By merging their technical excellence, both organizations are reinforcing their leadership in the industry, driving the development of resilient, high-speed networks and jointly establishing the foundations of the future global communication infrastructure.

“This collaboration is a testament to our dedication for driving the digital future and pushing the boundaries of a more connected and technologically advanced future.
