The announcement reinforces the company’s broader strategy of helping businesses securely manage and protect data as AI adoption accelerates.

Cohesity  has introduced a series of enhancements across its data protection and security portfolio aimed at strengthening enterprise resilience in the age of artificial intelligence. The updates include new sovereign cloud partnerships, improved threat detection capabilities, and simplified product packaging designed to make enterprise-grade protection more accessible to midsize organizations. The announcement reinforces the company’s broader strategy of helping businesses securely manage and protect data as AI adoption accelerates.

As part of the updates, Cohesity unveiled its Enterprise AI Resilience strategy, which is designed to support and protect AI-driven initiatives. The company also launched Cohesity Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), powered by Cyera, to help organizations identify and secure sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, and AI environments. Enhancements to the company’s AI platform, Cohesity Gaia, further advance its goal of unifying data protection, security, and AI-driven insights within a single platform.

According to Vasu Murthy, Chief Product Officer at Cohesity, the rapid growth of AI is increasing both the value of enterprise data and the risks surrounding it. He noted that modern cyber resilience requires organizations to detect threats early, recover quickly to a clean state, and maintain control across increasingly complex environments. The latest updates are intended to strengthen the foundation organizations rely on as they operationalize AI while also expanding how customers deploy and use the platform.

Mazin Bayado, Technical Leader for the Middle East at Cohesity, said organizations in the region are facing growing cybersecurity, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements as digital transformation accelerates. He explained that enterprises are increasingly seeking platforms capable of protecting data across hybrid and multicloud environments while improving cyber resilience without adding operational complexity. The new capabilities within Cohesity Data Cloud are designed to help organizations detect threats earlier, validate clean recovery points, and maintain greater control over how and where their data is protected.

To address rising regulatory and data residency requirements, Cohesity is expanding its sovereign cloud ecosystem through new partnerships with AntemetA and Singtel. These collaborations build on the company’s role as a launch partner for the Amazon Web Services European Sovereign Cloud and its certification as a regulated and sovereignty solutions partner with Google Cloud. In Canada, Cohesity is also partnering with Micrologic to provide sovereign cloud-based data protection solutions.

The company is also strengthening threat detection and recovery capabilities to address emerging security risks associated with AI tools and autonomous agents. Planned enhancements include integrated threat scanning for self-managed Cohesity FortKnox environments, malware scanning for dark-site deployments that operate without internet connectivity, and the introduction of self-encrypting drives with built-in malware detection for the Cohesity NetBackup Flex Appliance. These capabilities are intended to help organizations detect malicious activity earlier and restore systems to trusted recovery points.

Cohesity is also expanding its collaboration with Google through a managed service option for Cohesity FortKnox on Google Cloud, along with integrations with Google Threat Intelligence and Google Private Scanning. These features extend cyber vaulting capabilities to Google Cloud environments and introduce secure sandbox inspection into backup and recovery workflows to help detect hidden threats before restoring data.

To further strengthen its data security portfolio, the company has launched Cohesity DSPM powered by Cyera, which continuously discovers, classifies, and analyzes sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, and AI environments. The solution helps organizations prioritize remediation efforts and reduce potential exposure before security incidents occur.

In addition to security improvements, Cohesity is focusing on enabling organizations to extract greater value from their protected data. Through Cohesity Gaia, businesses can generate insights from data already secured within Cohesity Data Cloud. The company also introduced federated semantic search via the Model Context Protocol, allowing AI-powered enterprise applications such as Glean to securely access governed backup data. A new Cohesity Gaia Catalog will also enable teams to discover and access protected data directly from analytics platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

To broaden access to its technology, Cohesity has launched Cohesity Essentials, a simplified pricing and packaging model designed specifically for midsize organizations. The offering provides access to the company’s enterprise-grade cyber resilience platform while reducing complexity and operational overhead, making advanced data protection, security, and AI-powered insights more accessible to a wider range of businesses.
