The launch of the Poly-Huawei Smart Classroom represents a significant step in the digital transformation of Mauritius’ education ecosystem. The initiative is aligned with the Digital Transformation Blueprint 2025–2029, a strategic framework that emphasizes the role of every stakeholder in building a smarter, fairer, and more resilient digital society.

The Smart Classroom is equipped with advanced ICT infrastructure, renewable-energy support, and remote connectivity between Mauritius and Rodrigues, enabling new opportunities for interactive learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Beyond technological infrastructure, the project underscores a broader vision: preparing the youth for the digital economy by integrating technology meaningfully into the learning experience, fostering digital skills and readiness for future opportunities.

This initiative is part of Mauritius’ wider efforts to modernize education, bridge digital divides, and equip students with the tools and competencies required in a rapidly evolving digital world.
