Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Innovation  has outlined an ambitious 2026 budget focused on accelerating the country’s digital transformation agenda. The ministry announced a budget allocation of 83.275 billion FCFA, representing a 37% increase, signaling a strong commitment to expanding digital infrastructure and strengthening the digital economy.

The budget is structured around five strategic priorities, including improving access to the internet, boosting state revenues through digital systems, advancing digital inclusion, strengthening cybersecurity, and promoting technological innovation. These pillars are expected to guide investments and policy implementation as the country works to build a more connected and resilient digital ecosystem.

Speaking on the framework, Djibril Ouattara emphasized the importance of “fair spending” as a guiding principle, highlighting the need for efficient and impactful use of public resources. According to him, the approach will ensure that investments deliver measurable outcomes while supporting sustainable digital growth.
