The initiative marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to expand broadband access and support the country’s growing digital economy.

Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL)  has launched a new high-speed fiber internet service, branded as the TTCL Faiba “Supersonic Experience,” aimed at improving access to fast, reliable digital connectivity across Tanzania. The initiative marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to expand broadband access and support the country’s growing digital economy.

Speaking at the launch, TTCL Director of Commercial, Mr. Vedastus Mwita, said the new service is designed to deliver faster speeds, improved quality, and enhanced reliability, enabling both individuals and businesses to perform digital activities more efficiently. He emphasized that the rollout aligns with TTCL’s broader goal of strengthening connectivity and supporting digital transformation nationwide.

The new offering, delivered under the #FaibaMlangoniKwako initiative, introduces internet packages with speeds ranging from 60 Mbps to 250 Mbps. These packages are designed to support a wide range of use cases, including smart home solutions, smart office operations, e-commerce, gaming, and high-quality HD and 4K video streaming.

In addition to high-speed internet, customers will benefit from bundled services such as landline call minutes, mobile internet packages, and free TTCL SIM cards, depending on the selected plan. These added features are intended to provide more value and convenience to subscribers while encouraging wider adoption of digital services.

The launch underscores TTCL’s commitment to playing a central role in building Tanzania’s digital infrastructure by delivering affordable, high-quality communication services. The initiative is expected to contribute to increased internet penetration and support innovation, productivity, and economic growth across the country.
