Cognita Deploys Digital Learning Platform Across UAE Schools

The overall approach is aimed at delivering uninterrupted education while reinforcing a sense of community, ensuring students remain supported and connected throughout the online learning period.

Cognita Group  has announced that its schools across the United Arab Emirates will begin the new academic term with a structured period of online learning, in line with guidance from national education authorities.

Under the directive, students at several Cognita-operated schools—including Repton School Dubai, Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai, Horizon International School, Horizon English School, Ranches Primary School and Al Ain English Speaking School—will commence Term 3 with two weeks of remote learning starting Monday, 23 March.

To ensure continuity, Cognita is introducing its Learning Continuity and Connection Programme, a research-driven framework designed to maintain academic progress while supporting student wellbeing and routine. The programme blends live virtual lessons, independent study, pre-learning activities and personalised mentoring to deliver a balanced and engaging online learning experience. It also reflects feedback gathered from parents, aiming to support families both within the UAE and those temporarily relocated.

The initiative places strong emphasis on maintaining consistent interaction between students and teachers, alongside clear and ongoing communication with parents. Structured timetables will provide daily routine, while flexibility is built in to accommodate different family circumstances and time zones.

In addition to academic delivery, Cognita’s enrichment arm, EnrichMe, will roll out complementary wellbeing and activity programmes aligned with guidance from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. These offerings are designed to support holistic development and student engagement during the remote learning period.

The programme also incorporates age-appropriate learning approaches, particularly for younger students, by reducing screen time and encouraging more offline, guided activities. Across all levels, the focus remains on avoiding excessive screen exposure while ensuring students stay connected, engaged and progressing academically.

Cognita noted that dedicated online portals will be introduced to support parents, providing access to timetables, learning guidance, communication channels, attendance requirements and technical support. The overall approach is aimed at delivering uninterrupted education while reinforcing a sense of community, ensuring students remain supported and connected throughout the online learning period.
