his enhancement enables organizations to seamlessly synchronize data between Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake and Data Warehouse, while streamlining large-scale data ingestion from over 300 enterprise data sources.

Informatica  has announced an expanded collaboration with Microsoft,  introducing new capabilities designed to simplify data integration, governance, and analytics for enterprises accelerating their AI strategies.

At the core of the announcement is the general availability of support for Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) with Microsoft Fabric Open Mirroring. This enhancement enables organizations to seamlessly synchronize data between Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake and Data Warehouse, while streamlining large-scale data ingestion from over 300 enterprise data sources.

With the April 2026 IDMC release, customers can now activate Open Mirroring with a single click within Informatica’s Cloud Data Integration and Replication services. This simplifies the creation and management of mirrored database pipelines, while ensuring enterprise-grade data governance, quality, and master data management. The integration also enables near real-time data access, helping organizations reduce costs and accelerate AI and analytics initiatives.

According to company executives, the move addresses growing demand for trusted, high-quality data as organizations scale AI and analytics programs. By embedding Open Mirroring directly into its platform, Informatica aims to provide a more efficient and reliable data foundation for enterprise decision-making.

In addition to the integration, Informatica has launched a new Azure-based IDMC point-of-delivery (pod) in Switzerland, expanding its regional cloud footprint. The Switzerland deployment is designed to support European customers with strict data residency, sovereignty, and regulatory requirements, while delivering the full suite of Informatica’s cloud data management capabilities.

The new Azure pod enables organizations to deploy services closer to their data, improving compliance while maintaining access to advanced tools for data integration, governance, and AI-driven analytics. Customers can also access Informatica services via Microsoft Marketplace, with eligible purchases contributing toward Azure consumption commitments.

The expanded partnership reflects a broader push by both companies to simplify data management across hybrid and multicloud environments. By combining Microsoft Fabric’s data platform with Informatica’s AI-powered data management capabilities, enterprises can reduce complexity, enhance data trust, and accelerate time-to-value for AI initiatives.

The new Open Mirroring support is available with the April 2026 IDMC release, while the Switzerland-based Azure pod became available in March 2026.
