Tunisia Hosts Second International Forum on Intelligent Information Technologies

The event is expected to conclude with strategic recommendations aimed at strengthening technological innovation and fostering closer collaboration between academia and industry at both regional and international levels.

The second edition of the International Forum on Innovative and Intelligent Information Technologies (IC3IT’26) has officially commenced in Hammamet, bringing together a global community of researchers, academics, and technology experts for a three-day exchange on emerging digital innovations. The event, held from March 26 to 28, 2026, is organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and jointly hosted by University of Tunis El Manar and University of Batna 2 in Algeria.

The opening ceremony was led by Maaz Al-Shafra, President of the University of Tunis El Manar, alongside Hassan Samadi, Director of the University of Batna 2. The event also saw participation from key academic figures, including Shaker Al-Sayd, Chair of the organizing committee, and Momin Hamouma, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computing. Representatives from universities and scientific institutions across multiple continents are in attendance, with participants from countries such as Senegal, Qatar, Turkey, Japan, France, Germany, the United States, and Canada, among others.

The forum’s programme covers a wide spectrum of advanced technology topics, including artificial intelligence, data science, distributed systems, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, and digital ethics. Discussions also delve into cutting-edge areas such as human-computer interaction, augmented and virtual reality, quantum computing, robotics, and next-generation wireless technologies including 5G and 6G.

In addition to theoretical discussions, the forum places strong emphasis on practical applications. Participants are showcasing innovative projects in sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, digital education, fintech, and e-commerce. Workshops are also providing hands-on opportunities to explore the application of AI in medical fields and advanced data analysis, reinforcing the link between academic research and real-world industry needs.

The event is expected to conclude with strategic recommendations aimed at strengthening technological innovation and fostering closer collaboration between academia and industry at both regional and international levels. IC3IT’26 highlights the growing role of universities as key drivers of research, innovation, and intelligent solutions in the evolving digital economy.
