Smart Zambia Boosts Young Entrepreneurs with Laptop Donation

According to the initiative, the gesture is aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with practical digital tools needed to transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.

The Smart Zambia  – e-Government Division has reinforced its commitment to digital empowerment by donating three laptops to outstanding participants of the 2026 Southern Province Entrepreneurship Conference.

The donation was presented by the National Coordinator of Smart Zambia, Mr. Percy Chinyama, as part of efforts to support youth innovation and strengthen digital inclusion. The beneficiaries were recognized for their outstanding performance at the conference and were rewarded with laptops to help advance their entrepreneurial journeys.

According to the initiative, the gesture is aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with practical digital tools needed to transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses. Smart Zambia emphasized that access to technology remains central to driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and national development.

The Division noted that such interventions form part of its broader digital transformation agenda, which seeks to empower citizens and bridge the technology gap across communities through initiatives led by Smart Zambia Institute.
