The rollout is positioned as one of the first large-scale deployments of AI-native concierge agents within the African hospitality sector, reinforcing CityBlue Hotels’ ambition to lead the next phase of innovation in guest experience and hotel operations across the continent.

CityBlue Hotels,  one of Africa’s fastest-growing hotel groups, has announced a strategic partnership with UK-based platform Inntelo AI  to deploy AI-native concierge agents across its hotel portfolio, in a move aimed at advancing digital transformation in African hospitality.

The announcement will be officially unveiled at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa, scheduled to take place in Nairobi on 31 March 2026.

The rollout is positioned as one of the first large-scale deployments of AI-native concierge agents within the African hospitality sector, reinforcing CityBlue Hotels’ ambition to lead the next phase of innovation in guest experience and hotel operations across the continent.

CityBlue Hotels currently operates across Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania, with planned expansion into Ghana, Uganda, and Zambia. The group also has strategic partnerships and development plans in South Africa and Mozambique, reflecting its broader growth trajectory in Africa’s tourism and hospitality market.

Through the partnership, CityBlue Hotels will integrate Inntelo AI’s platform directly into its hotel operations. The system is designed to coordinate guest interactions and internal service workflows in real time, improving response speed, task prioritisation, and overall service consistency across properties. The deployment is also expected to free up staff to focus more on personalised, in-person guest engagement.

Beyond operational improvements, the collaboration includes the development of educational and capacity-building programmes aimed at advancing AI adoption, skills development, and innovation within Africa’s hospitality industry.

The partnership signals a broader shift in Africa’s hospitality sector toward AI-enabled operations, as hotels increasingly adopt automation and intelligent systems to meet rising demand, improve efficiency, and deliver more personalised guest experiences.
