INFRASAT Presents Telecommunications Expansion Plans to DRC Digital Economy Ministry

The Angolan telecommunications company INFRASAT has presented its digital infrastructure projects aimed at supporting the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) digital transformation agenda.
The President of the Board of Directors of INFRASAT, Diego de Carvalho, was received on Thursday, April 2, 2026, by the Minister of Digital Economy, Augustin Kibassa Maliba, where he outlined the company’s plans to expand its operations in the country.
He noted that INFRASAT intends to deploy technical telecommunications activities in the DRC, with a particular focus on improving connectivity in underserved and low-coverage areas. The company, which has over 20 years of experience in the sector, specializes in telecommunications services and infrastructure development.
During the meeting, the company presented its proposals and projects aimed at supporting the country’s ongoing digitalization efforts, with an emphasis on enhancing nationwide communication infrastructure.
INFRASAT expressed appreciation for the reception by the Minister, noting that the discussions were constructive and focused on initiatives of public utility designed to improve connectivity across the country.
