Nokia Elects Timo Ihamuotila as New Board Chair at 2026 AGM

The AGM outcome reflects continued shareholder support for Nokia’s governance framework and strategic direction as the company moves forward with its long-term objectives.

Nokia  has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2026 was held in Helsinki, Finland, with shareholders representing approximately 3.5 billion shares and votes in attendance.

The company confirmed that all proposals submitted by the Board of Directors were approved during the meeting. The AGM marked an important governance transition, with shareholders endorsing leadership changes within the Board structure.

Following the meeting, Timo Ihamuotila was elected as the new Chair of the Board of Directors, taking over leadership responsibilities for the company’s board oversight and strategic direction. Nokia also expressed appreciation to outgoing Chair Sari Baldauf, acknowledging her leadership and contributions during her tenure.
