Airtel Tanzania has been recognized by Samia Suluhu Hassan for its contribution to advancing digital services across the country, underscoring the telecom operator’s growing role in Tanzania’s digital transformation journey.
The recognition was presented during an official ceremony marking the launch of 758 communication projects and the expansion of digital services across 85 districts. The event was held at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre and brought together key stakeholders in the country’s ICT and development sectors.
The award was received by Charles Kamoto, Director General of Airtel Tanzania, on behalf of the company.
The acknowledgment highlights Airtel Tanzania’s continued investment in digital infrastructure aimed at broadening access to essential services. Through these efforts, the company is enabling more Tanzanians to benefit from digital education, support business growth and entrepreneurship, and access inclusive financial services.
