The initiative aligns with the vision of President Mamadi Doumbouya and the Simandou 2040 development program, which places digital transformation and innovation at the core of Guinea’s long-term economic strategy.

Guinea has taken a significant step toward strengthening artificial intelligence adoption in its private sector with the launch of the “AI Xcelerate” program, an initiative designed to accelerate the integration of AI into business operations and improve economic competitiveness.

The program was officially launched on April 8, 2026, through a partnership involving the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Guinée (CGE-GUI), the Organisation Internationale des Employeurs (OIE), and international technology partners. It is aimed at supporting business leaders, managers, and young professionals with practical AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity and decision-making.

During the event, government and private sector stakeholders, along with international partners, gathered to explore how artificial intelligence can strengthen Guinea’s economic fabric and create new employment opportunities. The discussions emphasized the role of AI in improving human capital and modernizing business practices.

Rose Pola Pricemou contributed to a panel discussion, where she highlighted the importance of leveraging digital tools to enhance skills development, particularly through initiatives such as the Simandou Academy, and broader economic transformation efforts.

She noted that Guinea has already made progress in artificial intelligence policy development, becoming the first Francophone country to adopt the UNDP’s AILA approach, which informed its national AI roadmap for 2026–2035. She also referenced the DounIA1 and DounIA2 conferences, which helped shape the country’s national strategy on data and artificial intelligence.

The AI Xcelerate initiative is designed to build on this momentum by embedding AI innovation within the private sector and accelerating practical adoption across industries.

The initiative aligns with the vision of President Mamadi Doumbouya and the Simandou 2040 development program, which places digital transformation and innovation at the core of Guinea’s long-term economic strategy.
