Author: Akim Benamara

The partnership highlights a broader transformation in enterprise networking, where optical fiber infrastructure and next-generation Wi-Fi work together to deliver higher performance and lower total cost of ownership.

As enterprise demand for fast, seamless connectivity continues to grow, traditional LAN infrastructures are increasingly unable to meet modern requirements. The rise of Wi-Fi 7, cloud-based applications, IoT ecosystems, and real-time collaboration tools is driving the need for more advanced, scalable, and efficient network foundations.

To address this shift, Nokia  and RUCKUS Networks  have announced a strategic partnership to deliver a fully integrated, AI-driven converged LAN solution. The offering combines Nokia’s Optical LAN technology with RUCKUS enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7, unified through the RUCKUS One® cloud management platform. The collaboration aims to simplify enterprise networking while enabling scalable, future-ready deployments across industries.

The companies say the solution is already being deployed, with Aramco Digital implementing it as the core platform for an advanced fleet management program in Saudi Arabia. The deployment is intended to enhance real-time visibility and intelligent management of connected vehicles and industrial assets, supporting improved operational efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.

The partnership highlights a broader transformation in enterprise networking, where optical fiber infrastructure and next-generation Wi-Fi work together to deliver higher performance and lower total cost of ownership. Nokia’s Optical LAN is positioned as a high-efficiency alternative to traditional LAN systems, offering benefits such as reduced cabling requirements, lower energy consumption, and a longer operational lifespan, while also significantly reducing total cost of ownership.

Meanwhile, Wi-Fi 7 technology introduced by RUCKUS delivers major performance improvements, including ultra-high speeds, lower latency through multi-link operation, and enhanced capacity for dense environments. It also supports significantly more simultaneous device connections, making it suitable for high-demand settings such as healthcare facilities, educational campuses, logistics hubs, and large public venues.

The combined solution is designed for industries that require reliable, large-scale connectivity, including hospitality, healthcare, real estate, education, manufacturing, and logistics. It enables organizations to deploy resilient, long-range, and interference-resistant networks that can support digital transformation initiatives across both operational and customer-facing environments.

According to the companies, the partnership is already supported by more than 1,000 global deployments, reflecting growing enterprise adoption of converged networking models. Nokia and RUCKUS Networks also emphasize that the solution is backed by a global partner ecosystem, enabling faster deployment, stronger support, and lifecycle management across regions.

Industry leaders from both organizations highlighted that the collaboration is designed to accelerate industrial digitalization across the GCC. They noted that combining proven AIoT capabilities with regional integration expertise allows enterprises to connect critical assets more effectively, improve operational insights, and convert data into measurable business outcomes.

Overall, the partnership reflects a growing shift toward unified, AI-powered networking architectures designed to support the next generation of enterprise connectivity.
