The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing Egypt’s digital economy, with particular emphasis on youth training programmes and cloud computing skills development.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Egypt  has held discussions with representatives of Oracle  to explore cooperation in digital transformation and capacity building initiatives across the country.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing Egypt’s digital economy, with particular emphasis on youth training programmes and cloud computing skills development.

Officials reviewed ongoing national digital transformation projects led by the Ministry, alongside initiatives aimed at equipping young people with technology skills aligned with labour market needs, including Train to Hire programmes and specialised technical training.

Oracle highlighted its initiative to train 150,000 young Egyptians in cloud computing technologies, aimed at developing a strong local talent pool capable of supporting both national and global digital industries.

The discussions also covered Egypt’s efforts to expand data centre infrastructure and position the country as a regional hub for data and advanced technologies, including cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

Both sides agreed on the importance of enhancing cooperation in digital transformation, capacity building, and technology adoption, and committed to organising a workshop to further explore joint initiatives in these areas.
