Kenya Explores Telecom Infrastructure Investment with Guodong Networks Group

Guodong Networks Group expressed strong interest in supporting the initiative, signalling potential collaboration in building scalable and sustainable telecom infrastructure to support Kenya’s growing digital economy.

Kenya has held discussions with Guodong Networks Group as the country seeks to accelerate its digital transformation agenda through expanded connectivity infrastructure.

The engagement focused on potential investment opportunities in telecommunications infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the deployment of fibre optic networks and the development of telecom tower infrastructure to enhance nationwide coverage and connectivity.

The meeting aligned with Kenya’s broader Digital Superhighway Programme, which aims to expand broadband access, strengthen national digital infrastructure, and promote inclusive connectivity across the country.

Guodong Networks Group  expressed strong interest in supporting the initiative, signalling potential collaboration in building scalable and sustainable telecom infrastructure to support Kenya’s growing digital economy.

The discussions brought together senior representatives from the company, including its Chief Executive Officer and the Head of its Middle East and Africa operations, alongside Kenyan officials.

Both parties agreed to continue engagements aimed at developing partnership models that can unlock investment and support long-term expansion of Kenya’s digital ecosystem.
