The company said the new solution is designed to build an ultra-broadband and intelligent all-optical foundation, supporting next-generation connectivity demands across core, metro, and 5G transport networks.

ZTE Corporation  has introduced its latest innovation in optical networking, highlighting an AI-driven upgrade to its high-capacity transport infrastructure under the HI-OTN framework.

The company said the new solution is designed to build an ultra-broadband and intelligent all-optical foundation, supporting next-generation connectivity demands across core, metro, and 5G transport networks.

At the centre of the upgrade is the ZXONE 9700 platform, which supports 1.6T per wavelength high-speed transmission, a 12THz full-band spectrum, and AI-powered optical component failure prediction capabilities aimed at improving network reliability and efficiency.

ZTE also highlighted its position in the global optical networking market, stating that it holds the number one share in global 800G pluggable DCO ports, reinforcing its leadership in high-capacity optical transport solutions.

The company noted that its HI-OTN architecture is intended to enable smarter, more efficient, and highly scalable optical networks, supporting the continued growth of data-intensive services and next-generation mobile connectivity worldwide.
