MTN South Sudan Uses SMS Platform to Reach 4.5 Million in Back-to-Learning Campaign

MTN South Sudan  has highlighted its continued commitment to supporting education and community development through digital inclusion initiatives.

The operator said it supported the Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MoGEI) Back-to-Learning Campaign, which was launched in March 2026 in partnership with UNICEF. As part of the initiative, MTN South Sudan used its SMS platform to help extend the campaign’s reach, connecting messages to approximately 4.5 million people across the country.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging learners to return to school and improving awareness around education access nationwide. MTN South Sudan noted that the collaboration reflects its broader strategy of using digital platforms to support social impact and national development priorities.

The initiative reinforces the company’s ongoing efforts to leverage telecommunications infrastructure to drive positive community outcomes, particularly in education and youth empowerment.
