Coinbase Teams Up with Kemet Trading to Enhance Institutional Crypto Execution

May 5, 2026
1 min read

The partnership comes as demand grows for more sophisticated crypto trading infrastructure, particularly among institutional investors seeking unified access to multiple derivatives and liquidity sources.

Coinbase  has announced a new partnership with Kemet Trading  to broaden institutional access to its markets through Kemet’s execution and portfolio management system.

The collaboration will allow institutional clients to trade across spot, futures, and options markets via Kemet’s platform, while gaining more efficient routing into Coinbase liquidity. The integration is designed to support more advanced trading strategies that span multiple venues.

According to Coinbase Institutional, the partnership will give professional investors greater flexibility in executing complex, multi-asset trading strategies while improving overall market access and execution efficiency.

As part of the agreement, Coinbase will also make a strategic investment in Kemet Trading through Coinbase Ventures, reinforcing its long-term commitment to expanding institutional infrastructure in the digital asset market.

The company said the initiative reflects its broader strategy of meeting institutional clients where they already operate, by integrating Coinbase markets into external platforms and workflows rather than requiring direct platform use.

The partnership comes as demand grows for more sophisticated crypto trading infrastructure, particularly among institutional investors seeking unified access to multiple derivatives and liquidity sources.
