Orange Mobile Finance Sierra Leone Appoints Mahamane Sidi Touré as CEO

Touré brings more than 17 years of experience within the SONATEL Group, where he has built a strong track record across telecommunications, commercial strategy, and digital financial services.

Orange Mobile Finance Sierra Leone  has announced the appointment of Mahamane Sidi Touré as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a strategic move to strengthen leadership and expand digital financial services in the country.

The appointment was confirmed by the company’s Board of Directors, which expressed confidence in Touré’s ability to drive growth and innovation in Sierra Leone’s mobile money sector.

Touré brings more than 17 years of experience within the SONATEL Group , where he has built a strong track record across telecommunications, commercial strategy, and digital financial services. Over the years, he has held senior leadership roles at Orange Mali and Orange Mobile Finance Mali, contributing to the expansion and innovation of mobile money solutions.

Prior to his new role, Touré served as CEO of Orange Mobile Finance Guinea Bissau, where he led the business to rapid growth. Under his leadership, the company achieved profitability and delivered its first dividends within just 15 months of operations.

According to the Board, his appointment reflects Orange’s continued commitment to advancing financial inclusion in Sierra Leone through innovative, customer-centric solutions. The company aims to build on its mobile financial services platform to deepen access and accelerate digital transformation across the country.

The Board and management welcomed Touré to his new position and expressed confidence in his leadership as the company enters its next phase of growth.
