The initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to leverage digital technologies to enhance service delivery, strengthen records management, and streamline public sector operations.

The SMART Zambia Institute  has concluded a one-week Training of Trainers programme focused on the Smart Office application, an Electronic Registry System designed to accelerate digital transformation and improve efficiency across government operations.

The training programme, held at the Ministry of Finance boardroom in Lusaka, brought together officers from several key government ministries, including the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, Ministry of Technology and Science, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Agriculture.

The sessions were facilitated by SMART Zambia Institute officers from the Service Management Department, Ms Roshet Kanyembo and Ms Mercy Phiri, who trained participants on the Smart Office application and prepared them to cascade the system within their respective institutions.

The initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to leverage digital technologies to enhance service delivery, strengthen records management, and streamline public sector operations.

Through the programme, participating officers were equipped with practical knowledge and technical skills aimed at supporting the successful rollout and adoption of the Smart Office system across government ministries and departments.
