Galaxy Backbone Strengthens Digital Governance Push Through ID4Africa Participation

Galaxy Backbone stated that its participation reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital future through innovation, collaboration, and the deployment of secure digital infrastructure.

Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB)  has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda through active participation at the prestigious ID4Africa Conference held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The company was represented by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, alongside the Executive Director of Digital Exploration and Technical Services (DETS), Olumide Akinugbe. Their participation included engagements at the main conference sessions as well as high-level side events organized by the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) and Co-Develop.

The discussions focused on accelerating the development of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) across Africa and other emerging economies. The conference convened governments, development institutions, technology companies, and digital transformation stakeholders to examine strategies for building secure, inclusive, and interoperable digital ecosystems capable of driving economic growth and improving public service delivery.

Galaxy Backbone stated that its participation reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital future through innovation, collaboration, and the deployment of secure digital infrastructure. The company also emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in promoting digital inclusion and strengthening government service delivery.

According to the delegation, trusted digital identity systems, resilient infrastructure, and collaborative ecosystems are becoming increasingly critical to the future of Africa’s digital economy. They noted that stronger regional cooperation and investment in digital public infrastructure will be essential for enabling sustainable digital transformation across the continent.
