This recognition reflects Mastercard’s role in advancing the next generation of commerce — particularly through its work on Agent Pay, a capability designed to enable secure payments made by AI-powered agents on behalf of consumers and businesses.

Mastercard  has been named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2026 list by TIME, recognizing 100 companies making an extraordinary impact around the world.

In addition, in its sector-focused coverage, TIME featured Mastercard among the 10 most influential companies in the global finance sector in 2026, highlighting organizations that are setting new standards and shaping the future of the industry.

This recognition reflects Mastercard’s role in advancing the next generation of commerce — particularly through its work on Agent Pay, a capability designed to enable secure payments made by AI-powered agents on behalf of consumers and businesses.

In its profile, TIME noted Mastercard’s efforts to ensure that AI-driven transactions are trusted and secure, including enabling AI-powered agents to be verified before they can transact, as commerce becomes more intelligent and increasingly embedded into everyday experiences.

As commerce continues to evolve, Mastercard remains focused on building a trusted, interoperable infrastructure that enables people and businesses to transact with confidence. Through technologies such as tokenization, authentication, and real-time fraud prevention, Mastercard ensures that new forms of commerce are built on trust.

Mastercard continues to work closely with partners across Azerbaijan to support the development of a modern digital economy — ensuring that new, more intelligent forms of commerce are accessible, secure and trusted for consumers and businesses.
