Zimbabwe has strengthened its push toward a digitally skilled economy following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government and Liquid Intelligent Technologies aimed at advancing national digital capability.
The agreement establishes a Software Developer Skills Hub designed to expand local software development capacity, promote innovation, and equip Zimbabwean talent with practical, industry-relevant digital skills. The initiative is intended to support the country’s broader ambition of building a competitive technology-driven economy.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Hon. Dr Jenfan Muswere, Minister of Skills Audit and Development, on behalf of the Government of Zimbabwe, and Lorreta Songola, Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
The partnership marks the beginning of a structured collaboration focused on developing a pipeline of skilled software developers and strengthening Zimbabwe’s position as a regional centre for digital skills and innovation.
It is expected to contribute to national efforts aimed at empowering young people, expanding access to technology education, and supporting long-term economic growth through digital transformation.
