Through this collaboration, CAMTEL will open its operations to students by offering academic internships and hands-on exposure to the telecommunications sector.

CAMTEL  (Cameroon Telecommunications) has announced an investment in youth talent development aimed at preparing the next generation of professionals who will shape Cameroon’s future. The initiative is anchored in a strategic partnership signed on June 3, 2026, between CAMTEL and the Ministry of Higher Education.

The agreement is focused on strengthening practical training and supporting the professional integration of young Cameroonians. Through this collaboration, CAMTEL will open its operations to students by offering academic internships and hands-on exposure to the telecommunications sector. This is intended to help students translate theoretical knowledge into practical, job-ready skills.

According to CAMTEL, the partnership reflects a broader commitment to aligning education with industry needs, ensuring that young people are better equipped to contribute to the country’s digital transformation and economic growth. The company emphasized that youth development remains central to building a competitive and innovative national workforce.

The initiative underscores CAMTEL’s goal of fostering closer ties between academic institutions and the private sector, with a focus on developing skilled talent capable of supporting Cameroon’s evolving telecommunications landscape.
