The award highlights the company’s contribution to enabling fast and secure remittance services that support everyday financial needs, particularly for individuals sending money to families across borders.

Digital financial services provider Mukuru  has been named 1st Runner-Up in the Digital Payment Solutions Sector at the Service Excellence Awards Malawi 2026, recognising its role in advancing accessible and reliable money transfer services in the country.

The award highlights the company’s contribution to enabling fast and secure remittance services that support everyday financial needs, particularly for individuals sending money to families across borders.

Mukuru said the recognition reflects its commitment to improving customer experience and ensuring that funds are delivered safely and efficiently, helping families receive financial support in real time.

The company also acknowledged team members Douglas C. Jesman and Vanessa Kazembe, who represented Mukuru at the ceremony and accepted the award on behalf of the organisation.

Mukuru dedicated the achievement to its employees in Malawi and across its wider network, noting that their work continues to strengthen trust and service delivery in the digital payments sector.

The company said it remains focused on raising service standards and expanding financial inclusion through its digital payment solutions across African markets.
