Burkina Faso Advances Digital Ecosystem Development with DSI Digital Day Initiative
The initiative is expected to strengthen ties among technology leaders and contribute to the advancement of digital ecosystems within member countries.
Burkina Faso is preparing for the second edition of DSI Digital Day, an event aimed at bringing together key players in the digital sector to promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration on digital transformation. Preparations for the event were discussed during a meeting between the DSI-BF Club and Digital Transition Minister Aminata Zerbo-Sabané.
Led by its president, Clément Combary, the DSI-BF Club delegation briefed the minister on progress made in organizing the event and sought guidance to ensure its success. The club brings together information systems managers from public institutions, private companies, and international organizations, with a mission to promote best practices, skills development, and professional collaboration in the digital sector.
Organizers said the 2026 edition aims to broaden its reach beyond Burkina Faso by opening participation to countries within the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). The expansion is intended to foster greater regional cooperation and encourage discussions among digital professionals on shared challenges and opportunities related to digital transformation.
According to the organizers, DSI Digital Day is envisioned as a platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and innovative solutions that can support digital development across the region. The initiative is expected to strengthen ties among technology leaders and contribute to the advancement of digital ecosystems within member countries.
Following the meeting, Clément Combary welcomed the support and guidance received from the ministry, noting that the discussions provided valuable direction for the successful organization of the event. The initiative reflects Burkina Faso’s broader efforts to strengthen its digital ecosystem, encourage capacity building, and promote regional collaboration on technology and digital transformation.
