Click to Pay is a global online checkout solution for card payments that enables consumers to complete purchases without manually entering card details, delivering a seamless, passwordless experience powered by Mastercard's network tokenization and EMVCo® authentication standards.

IMTIAZ,  the commercial brand of Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company (BCFC)  has announced the launch of Mastercard  Click to Pay in the Kingdom of Bahrain, making it among the early adopters of the payment solution in the country. This milestone reaffirms IMTIAZ’s commitment to delivering frictionless and innovative payment solutions.

Click to Pay is a global online checkout solution for card payments that enables consumers to complete purchases without manually entering card details, delivering a seamless, passwordless experience powered by Mastercard’s network tokenization and EMVCo® authentication standards.

“We are proud to be one of Bahrain’s first credit card issuers to offer Click to Pay with Mastercard. By integrating this into the Sahel app, we are delivering a faster, more secure online payment experience while deepening our customers’ connection to our digital platform.”

Mr. Ali Al Marzooq, Chief Technology Officer, BCFC

Taking integration a step further, IMTIAZ has embedded Click to Pay enrollment directly into its award-winning Sahel app, as recognized by the Bahrain Digital Content Awards 2024/2025, using Mastercard’s technology. Customers can enroll their IMTIAZ Mastercard in just a few steps with card and billing details pre-populated from their existing profile, subject to applicable consent and security controls, making Sahel a key digital gateway for IMTIAZ cardholders.

“At Mastercard, we are committed to providing a wide range of innovative solutions that address growing consumer demand for seamless payment options. IMTIAZ’s early adoption of Click to Pay reflects the strength of our relationship and our shared vision for advancing digital payments in the Kingdom.”

Mr. Saud Swar, country manager, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, and other Levant, Mastercard

Designed to work across devices, browsers, and a growing network of merchants, Click to Pay is further strengthened by the Mastercard Payment Passkey Service, which uses device-based biometrics, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, combined with tokenization to authenticate transactions securely. By eliminating passwords and one-time passcodes, Passkeys enhance both security and speed, ensuring no sensitive payment data is shared with third parties and rendering intercepted information useless to fraudsters, ultimately transforming online checkout into a faster, safer, and more intuitive experience.
