The approval formally recognises the company as a regulated technical payment aggregator in the market.

Kerry Payments Brazzaville SARLU, a subsidiary of the PawaPay group,  has been granted its Value Added Services (VAS) Payment Aggregator authorisation by the Agence de Régulation des Postes et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE) in the Republic of Congo. The approval formally recognises the company as a regulated technical payment aggregator in the market.

The authorisation allows Kerry Payments to provide businesses with a unified API and digital portal that connects them to mobile money operators, banks, and microfinance institutions operating in Congo. While the platform enables seamless integration across different payment rails, all transactions continue to be processed by the underlying licensed financial service providers.

According to PawaPay, mobile money plays a central role in enabling everyday commerce across the CEMAC region, making reliable and interoperable infrastructure essential for business continuity and growth. The company emphasized that building locally compliant systems is key to improving the efficiency and resilience of digital payments in Africa.

PawaPay also acknowledged the support of its Congo team and partners throughout the authorisation process, as well as the guidance provided by ARPCE. The milestone marks another step in strengthening regulated payment infrastructure in Central Africa and expanding access to scalable digital financial services across the region.
