Airtel Money Kenya Partners with ChildFund to Improve Education Access in Underserved Counties
The collaboration with ChildFund Kenya is expected to enhance educational opportunities and help equip children in underserved regions with better conditions to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
Airtel Money Kenya, through the Airtel Africa Foundation, has announced a partnership with ChildFund Kenya aimed at improving education access and inclusion for more than 2,000 learners across Baringo, Garissa, and Wajir counties.
The initiative focuses on strengthening school infrastructure and improving essential facilities such as water and sanitation systems. It will also support the introduction of digital learning resources and targeted assistance for learners living with visual and hearing impairments, ensuring that more children can participate fully in education.
According to the company, the programme goes beyond physical upgrades, emphasizing the creation of safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments where children can focus on their education and development. The effort is part of Airtel Money Kenya’s broader commitment to social impact through the Airtel Africa Foundation.
Commenting on the partnership, Airtel Money Kenya Managing Director Anne Kinuthia Otieno, MBS stated:
“Through this partnership, we are investing in practical and sustainable solutions that will help create safer, healthier and more inclusive learning environments, particularly for learners living with disabilities.”
