CANAL+ Owned Irdeto Names Axel Gallant as New CEO Following Doug Lowther’s Departure
Lowther has served as CEO since 2015 and has been instrumental in leading the company to become a globally recognized cybersecurity leader.
Irdeto, a CANAL+ company and the global leader in digital platform cybersecurity, announced that Doug Lowther will step down as Chief Executive Officer. Axel Gallant has been appointed as Irdeto’s new CEO.
Lowther has served as CEO since 2015 and has been instrumental in leading the company to become a globally recognized cybersecurity leader. During his tenure, Irdeto more than doubled its market share in video security and developed new businesses in Video Games and Smart Mobility. Earlier in his career at Irdeto, Lowther served as Executive Vice President, Digital TV, expanding the company’s product line to support new services such as video on demand and streaming TV.
