Zambia Strengthens Digital Inclusion Efforts Through Provincial Partnerships
As part of its ongoing ICT project tour across Muchinga, Northern, and Luapula Provinces, ZICTA Board members and senior management paid courtesy calls on provincial leadership to enhance collaboration on digital transformation initiatives.
The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding digital access and inclusion across the country through strengthened partnerships with provincial administrations.
As part of its ongoing ICT project tour across Muchinga, Northern, and Luapula Provinces, ZICTA Board members and senior management paid courtesy calls on provincial leadership to enhance collaboration on digital transformation initiatives.
The delegation met with the Acting Northern Province Permanent Secretary, Madam Beauty Undi-Phiri, and Luapula Province Permanent Secretary, Madam Prudence Chinama Kangwa, alongside local government officials, to discuss ongoing efforts to improve ICT access in underserved communities.
During the engagements, ZICTA highlighted its interventions aimed at expanding connectivity, promoting digital learning opportunities, and supporting the deployment of inclusive technologies in schools, health facilities, and rural communities.
The Authority expressed appreciation to provincial administrations for their continued support in facilitating ICT development programmes, noting that such collaboration is essential to achieving nationwide digital inclusion.
Provincial leaders commended ZICTA’s efforts and encouraged the Authority to scale up interventions to reach more vulnerable and remote communities.
Both parties emphasized that strong cooperation between national institutions and provincial governments remains critical to ensuring equitable access to digital services as Zambia progresses toward a more connected and digitally empowered society.
